Animal Husbandry - February

All the ewes have their annual Heptavac-P Plus booster injection about 4-6 weeks before lambing in early February. At the same time their feet are checked and horns are checked that they are not ingrowing and trimmed if necessary. Also any ewes with a past history of Mastitis have Orbenin suspension inserted directly into their teets. Any sheep noted to have lost an ear tag have them replaced. All the rams will have their Heptavac-P Plus when they are sheared. The lambs require two injections of Heptavac-P Plus the first given when they are 4-6 weeks old.
